Good work again Vinny- Hull and this one who you are the top of the game

A shame you didn't include my " Harry Potter- he's coming for you" admit it, the best song you've heard at Anfield for years, question ;-)

I think they seem alright.

But as others have said, they're only young lads, so good luck to them.

No doubt in my mind they'd be OSers if they were West Ham, though.

Safe standing would be disrespectful to the victims of Hillsborough?

How about unsafe drunken stampeding then?

Re: View From The Opposition - Liverpool
Unlike Manchester United fans of the same age, both these supporters would have never seen Liverpool win a league or display a spell of dominance.

Whilst I would like to criticise Liverpool fans for looking back on history I would think that would be a little hypocritical as I have seen what is considered the best of West Ham.

I never ever saw West Ham in the 80's or experienced players that are talked about fondly. I too can only go on history.

Re: View From The Opposition - Liverpool
Yep, it's all about expectations isn't it?

Underneath their answers, you sense a subliminal feeling that they expect to be successful and are only surprised when they're not.

Unlike WHU, where we expect to fuck everything up and are usually not disappointed. The Hull guys had that same tongue in cheek fatalism thing going on...

They're too young for some of the questions!

'Crystanbul'?

Come on FFS!

Re: View From The Opposition - Liverpool
Talking to any supporter from the "big" clubs has become an odd thing because like on the pitch they are so fundamentally different to clubs such as us.

When speaking to a fan of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United whilst I know we both support teams in the same league it is like we don't actually look at football in the same way.

The Hull fans last week were popular because we could relate to them. Their issues are something we could connect with but no matter what answers these Liverpool fans gave they were never going to be able give us anything we could really associate with.

Safe standing would be disrespectful to the victims of Hillsborough? That's like saying we should never get back in a plane again, as it'd be disrespecful to the people that died at Lockerbie.

Load of unthought out bollocks.

COOL HAND LUKE 4:14 Thu Sep 18
Re: View From The Opposition - Liverpool
Perhaps they just mean that history suggests that THEIR fans can't be trusted to stand.

Be fine for the rest of us.

Re: View From The Opposition - Liverpool
Not really cuntish, generally speraking, but they both failed miserably on the safe standing question.

FFS!

A little bit like saying allowing airplanes to fly again would be disrespectful to the memory of the passengers on the Malaysian Airlines flights that went down.

I'm guessing they will snick it on Saturday... as we saw in midweek, they can usually manage to dive in the box and con the ref for a penalty, if a goal is needed in the last few minutes...

That's a relief... my faith in football supporters has been restored after the last couple of weeks... real wankers both!

Why would safe standing be disrespectful to Hillsborough?

He likes Collins and Jaaskelainen? Really?
